[Quests are made in the North American version of the game]
Here's where I intend to spend a great deal of time. My quests will be divided into several different series, each independant from eachother.
Bartz's Annoying Quest
Spoiler:
Future Series Planned:
Disney-dia: The cast of Dissidia decide to take a break from the endless cycle to present shortened(not to mention heavily edited) versions of classic Disney films.
Empire Ascendant + Division of the Empire: See my second post in this thread for this series.

A little wisdom from me to you: If you give a man a fire, he's warm for a day. If you set a man on fire, he's warm for the rest of his life.
The first quest sounds hilarious! Imma try it on Saturday when I have the time. XD
Dissidia Duodecim
Mains: Firion, Jecht, Lightning, Prishe, Yuna
Subs: Terra, Gabranth, Kain
This post is hereby commandeered in the name of the Empire!
Division of the Empire:
Chapter One: The Seraph's Machinations"It all went wrong. The story wasn't supposed to go this way. When the evil Empire rises, Heroes are supposed to rise up against it, bring it down. They're suppose to be good, valiant, pure.
They aren't supposed to die. They aren't suppose to fall. They aren't supposed to side with the Empire.
And now that story has ended. Now a new one must begin.
And I swear, I will do whatever it takes, tear down whatever stands in my way, to ensure that it does not end like the last one.
-???, Leader of the Rebellion
-Page One: Ripples
The first signs of instability appear.
-Page Two: Bonds
Loved ones old and new are drawn into danger.
Empire Ascendant
-Memory I: Noah"During the Great War, I was known by two names: The Silver Angel, a living avatar of the Empire's might, and the Silver Butcher, a living embodiment of its wickedness. At the same time I occupied the role of hero and villain. History will remember me as one or the other only because one side was victorious. How easily the scales of judgment could have turned on me.
Neither name means anything to me, of course. Because if I know one thing, if the Great War taught me anything, it is this: There are only men. Heroes and villains do not exist."
-Sephiroth, former High General of the Empire
The Charlatan comes, in his borrowed armour. An ill fated journey begins.

Hey hey hey, episode two is up! I hope these get played eventually, as I really would like to tell this story.
That's right, a story. While I want to entertain, I will be telling a story first and foremost. So if comedy and storytelling conflict with eachother, storytelling will win.
Let's hope that doesn't happen.
On a related note, I'm sorry not much happens in episode two. I simply needed to introduce some more characters who will be important later, so that's one slow episode out of the way.

Okay, I've FINALLY done the quest XD
Had it on my psp but forgot about it completely since I was working on my own quests =s
Downloaded part 2 as well!
Err... you might want to lock your quests by the way.
There's a few grammatical errors and missing words, and some people, (most notably Garland in my opinion, since he's never been much of a bragger) seem to be a little OOC(Out of character just in case you didn't know =s).
It's also a bit annoying that some of the characters don't have all of their moves and some of the skills that most people tend to have on a character(like controlled recovery, which you had on one set for Bartz but not the next...?), but that's easily worked around.
You know, I've never had fun playing as Bartz before this quest, so I'll give you props for that.
The story seems to be a little bit Laguna, moving forwards, but not totally sure on how to get there. But I'm still enjoying the journey! The comedic bits are definitely a nice touch btw, and I get that you may have to take them out, but I really hope that you don't have to.
And you just GOTTA love that furry little narrator at the end of the quests! x)
So, overall, I gotta say, I like it, and al the things I mentioned above is more than likely just me nitpicking XD
So keep doing what you're doing, cuz you're doing quite well =P

Y'know, I just saw that sprite I use at the end and thought:
YES.
In all honesty, I've been completely forgetting to lock the quests. I'll make sure to do that for the next one.
I know I've been a little weird with the movesets, it's partially because I haven't gotten everyone maxed out or efficiently mastered. The other half is that I wanted to simulate growth of the characters over time, giving lower tier abilities earlier on and making them better as time progresses. But yeah, I'll try and be a bit more consistent as time goes on. I guess I'm just more interested in the storytelling/joking than the actually nitty gritty of character build.
As for out of character-ness, I guess I should have started with the disclaimer: these are my reinterpretations of the characters rather than accurate portrayals. Thus, Tidus is an idiot and the subject of abusive comedy, Onion Knight is a bossy know-it-all, and so one. This actually gets important with one character I plan to use, as I have one interpretation and the cannon version is slightly different.
And Garland is meant to be a direct parody of Major Armstrong, who the voice actor also plays. I couldn't help myself. My parody techniques have been passed down to me by my ancestors for generations!
All in all, thanks for the honest critique, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the series!

Well, third episode is up! I didn't abandon you guys (read: Ralor and the two other people who actually look at this thread), I've just been working out where I want to go with this series.
First off, you'll notice I've put the header "Season 1" in the first post. That's right, I've decided to seperate the Annoying Quest into themed Seasons from this point on. I've got the ending of this season already in mind, so keep an eye out! Between seasons I'll work on side projects, such as the promised Disney-dia. (Keep an eye out for flying carpets and talking tableware!)
You'll also notice something else in the .zip file this time: a Report! Like the game that spawned these abominations, my quests will occassionally be accompanied by little Reports that help expand the story. Sometimes you'll know who wrote them (Kuja wrote this one, and Bartz has one in the works) while others will remain a mystery (until I get bored or you get mad).
Also, if anyone is becoming concerned over my treatment of Tidus, don't worry; I have no particular dislike of him. I just wanted a target for my sadistic humor, and between him and Zidane, Tidus drew the short straw.

Episode 4 is up! Along with a second report. This one details the Dramatis Personae of our story thus far, a well as some minor characters that have yet to appear but may play a role in later episodes.
EDIT: Also, bonus points* for figuring out what WASN'T brought up during the ending of this episode.
*bonus points have no cash value, or any value at all. Cannot be traded or returned for other offers. This offer may be void if you live in certain areas of the world (ex: on land).

Due to unfortunate real life circumstances, I'm am currently without PSP or a steady internet connection. Therefor, it is with great sadness that I must put Bartz' Annoying Quest and all future projects on an indefinite hiatus. Apologies to anyone who was following the series, if it is at all possible I will try and pick it up again.

A quick update to anyone who's been playing my quests:
I have just recently gotten a hold of a replacement PSP, and a new copy of Duodecim should be in my hands shortly. Therefor, I'm posting a tentative end to the hiatus as early to mid august.
The upside to all this is that I've had a fair bit of time to plan out the future of this series, and hopefully that will translate into better quality episodes...
Well, we can dream can't we?
So anyway, I leave you all with your expectations and a over glorified bump.
BUMP!!!
