For whatever reason I'm really adamant in keeping "Crossover" as a part of my WoL setup and with the introduction of an aerial Dayflash, not including it would just be a waste. So it's come down for me to choose to leave out either Shield strike or Rising Buckler. So you adhoc players, do you find yourself in situations more above or below the opponent? Or should I just be a man and take out Crossover haha

I think Ill just use Crossover-Rising Buckler-Shield Strike for Mid Air Abilites because if you use Crossover the Rune Saber and it did a wall rush that takes your enemy lower use Shield Strike after for BRV attack or use Bitter after for Two HP attacks at the same time![]()

Crossover can be pretty easily punished by a quick Assist if timed correctly.
The way I see it, it's not worth it. The advantage to having Shield Strike and Rising Buckler is that you can counterattack perfectly after any type of Assist Change, whether you go flying up or down after evading an attack.
If I really had to pick though, I would change it up depending on your enemy. If you're fighting a ground character, use Shield Strike. If your enemy is one that would be likely to camp the air, use Rising Buckler. Don't ever limit yourself to one specific setup; adapt with your enemy.

As Chaos Murasamasa said, you really want to keep both Rising Buckler and Shield Strike as your bravery attacks. These two attacks combine with aerial dayflash is the best set up WoL can have for most match ups because of how they work. Either Rising Buckler or Shield Strike can be use to punish your opponent's assist and lock it depending its location. Crossover is nice to have due to the fact that the damage with assist is very high. However, without Aerial Dayflash, WoL will suffer from two things. The first one is he will get camped so easily and your opponent might punish you with assist if you use it. The other one is it doesn't build assist meter as fast as Aerial Dayflash does. Thus, I will advice you to use both of them and take out crossover. You already have a similar ability in the ground which is faster (Ascension). However, it's up to you to decide what to pick because I am not the one to force you to play the way I play.
Hope you take my advice if you play this game with people.![]()

Not meaning to derail, but is it worth using the ground version either? I just use sword thrust and blue fang :3

I use RB just so I can get that ground Wall Rush :P
[/doesn't want to equip both SS and RB]
Rising Buckler FTW. It's better imo because of the floor rush, linking to possible assist.

I use both much easier against opponents who change their style often and it's always handy for in many situations.

I usually find myself above the opponent, so I vote for Shield Strike. As for his other brave attack (other than Dayflash) nowadays I use Rising Buckler instead of Crossover. Crossover, while dealing more BRV damage, doesn't always guarantee an HP link especially if you find yourself near the ceiling.
I prefer to use Rising Buckler, Shield Strike, Dayflash for my aerial setup, though I might occasionally remove Rising Buckler for Crossover. I would probably only use it as part of an assist combo to deal more damage though.
Though apart, forever connected.
