My move set for WoL changed quite drastically in this game. Before I had Ascension, Sword Thrust, and Blue Fang on the ground, and all BRV attacks in the air (there's no aerial Dayflash in DFF).
Now this is the setup I use:
BRV attacks (ground/air)
O = Blue Fang / Dayflash
^O = Dayflash / Shield Strike
vO = White Fang / Rising Buckler
HP attacks (ground/air)
[] = Shield of Light (both)
^[] = Ultimate Shield (ground only)
v[] = Shining Wave / Radiant Sword
I don't use Ascension anymore. If I want to link an HP attack after hitting with Blue/White Fang, I would go with Ultimate Shield or quick jump to Shield Strike instead.
Ground
O = Day Flash
^O = Ascension -> Rune Saber
VO = Sword Thrust
ㅁ = Shining Wave
^ㅁ = Ultimate Shield
Air
O = Crossover -> Rune Saber
^O = Dayflash (Air)
VO = Shield Strike -> Bitter end
ㅁ = Shield of Light
ㅁ^ = Radiant Sword

Duly noted you guys, thanks. At least for not being jerks to someone inexperienced like me. I know how great a move Ascension is, really. I'm not trying to discredit it in any way.
Just don't hold it against me for not using it. My reasons for using Blue Fang is its combo-ability with White Fang and into other moves. I obviously won't use it like Ascension (lol) but rather as an in-between move in combos.
The fangs don't hit any often at all. They're more about pressure than comboing
Yeah, this is pretty much the truth. When using the fangs, your mindset shouldn't be "Okay, I'm going to combo when one of these eventually hits." Rather, it should be a mindset of simply pressuring the enemy, forcing them do something---anything. Moving around, forcing them to stop their camping, forcing them to dodge, just pressuring them to act in general. This is the main purpose of the fang techniques.
That being said, you're free to use them however you please. We just highly advise you do not run into battle with the idea that the fangs are meant to combo. They're meant for pressure.

They're good for pressuring, all right then.
But like I said, in-between moves. Okay, I won't use them with the mind that they'll likely start me a combo (outside of pressuring). But when you hit with an aerial Dayflash and chain it into an assist like Jecht: from there, I think White/Blue Fang>Blue/White Fang>anything produces more damage than White Fang>Ascension>Rune Saber.
