Vaan, judging a game like that when you haven't played it yourself doesn't work. The game is actually very good so far. People are complaining about the little things. Also, you have to understand, SE hasn't released an FF game in awhile. And you should know that when a game's been hyped for about 4-5 years, there is gonna be atleast a little of a letdown. Just incase you didn't know, this happens everytime an FF is released. Just let time go by.

Please don't make such comments, because so far, the majority enjoys the game.

Also, just because they didn't play FFXI doesn't mean they shouldnt play FFXIV. That's silly logic. FFXIV is going to be different in MANY different ways. FFXI was more for the hardcore MMO gamer. FFXIV is going to be made for both hardcore gamers, and the casual ones who have never played an MMO before. (I did infact play FFXI for 5 years, so yes, I'm a vet.)

It's better to play free MMO's than Final Fantasy MMO's. FF was never meant to be an MMO in the first place, I mean look at the gameplay slow paced and potentially takes absolutely no skill.

Compare Cabal online:

You'd rather play a game that's P2P, slow pace than a free game that's fast paced pk/pvp, easy level up and overall actually really good? All right go ahead and waste your money...

Actually, in general, I do prefer the slow-paced style of FFXIV. I've played quite a few MMO's (fast/slow-paced, p2p/f2p). The one I've always kept coming back to is FFXI, because I find it engaging and challenging with a variety of content for all levels and a broad range of interests.

Also, just because something is slow-paced, doesn't necessarily mean it takes no skill. Regarding FFXIV, given that 1.) the game isn't even out yet, and 2.) the only gameplay (to the best of my knowledge) we've seen so far is from first time users on a pre-beta version at a game convention, I don't think anyone can definitively say that the game takes no skill.

I'm not saying it's for everyone, but if I enjoy it, then it's not a waste of my money.

On topic: Yes, I plan on getting this

I would get into 14 if were it just for the fact that I so totally don't have the time or the money. And even if I did have the money, it would seem rather pointless to shell it out seeing as how I usually play very, very casually.

I'm still thinking about it though.

Wow thnx for the idea of getting Cabal looks really awsome to me but if i had the money for FFXIV i would so get it.
Edit: i figured out that it's only for European players...that sucks

I seriously don't think u can judge XIV's gameplay when Beta hasn't even been released yet. That video comparison was also clearly biased.
